At home in the Midlands,
working with industry
around the world
About us
RCF began life in Wednesbury in 1979. Today, thanks to the skills and expertise acquired from mergers with specialist manufacturers in 1990, 1992, 1994 and 2004, it’s grown from a local nuts and bolts stockist into one of the foremost hot-forged steel bolt and nut manufacturers in the UK, serving clients across the world.
Our factory
We’re located in Tipton, around 30 minutes west of Birmingham city centre and ten minutes from the M5. Thanks to the location of our factory producing multiple types of fasteners near the M5 motorway, we’re ideally placed to supply hot forge construction fasteners to projects across the country.
This position at the heart of the Black Country manufacturing area makes our supply chain especially efficient, so we’re able to respond to last-minute orders in even the most demanding timeframes.
Our services
Our bespoke, on-site tooling and machining allows us to manufacture fixings, fasteners and bolts for structural engineering. Unlike many other bolt and fastener manufacturers in the UK who import the bulk of their stock from overseas, we forge the majority of our compenents from raw materials on site in custom-designed tooling machines.
This emphasis on raw material manufacturing means we’re able to hot forge specific components, including vintage designs for older structures and aged systems. Having on-site machining also means we’re able to respond to urgent requests needing swift turnaround times. If your project requires components produced at short notice, get in touch with our client services team to find out how we can help.

Traditional craftsmanship with
modern supply chain agility
Right from its founding in the 1970s, RCF Bolt and Nut has employed a local workforce. We’re proud of our expert teams, who have honed their skills over decades to finesse their abilities in tooling, machining and distributing bolts for structural engineering.
As a stalwart bolt and nut manufacturer from the Black Country, our team work closely to embody the skills and experience on which the long industrial history of the Midlands is built. It’s this dedication to engineering quality, precision and value that makes us one of the most trusted bolt manufacturers in the UK.
Perfection can’t
be rushed
RCF Bolt and Nut was born in the heart of the Black Country, the UK’s manufacturing heartland and birthplace of world firsts in design and manufacturing. The region’s name derives from both the 30-foot coal seam beneath the county and the heavy layers of soot generated by hitherto unseen processes of manufacturing and industry first established in the mid-1800s.
A pure pedigree in Midlands manufacturing
Considered one continuous settlement from Birmingham westwards, the towns of Tipton and Dudley were at the very heart of the Industrial Revolution, where revolutionary developments in forging, coking, brickwork and steel milling saw the dawn of a new age of modern society.
RCF embodies these same values of industrial ingenuity and expertise, sourcing pure Black Country manufacturing knowhow from a local workforce whose own heritage dates back to the early days of Midlands manufacturing.

Moving with the times
At RCF Bolt and Nut, we continue to evolve our business as the face of manufacturing changes. Proud to be a longstanding manufacturer in the Black Country, our heritage helps us focus on what we do best whilst looking to the future for ways we can improve and streamline our services.
We already support growing businesses as well as long-term projects where reliability and consistency are key. In light of the global industrial upheaval experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re finding new ways to support clients whose supply chains have been dramatically disrupted by the events of 2020. We’re holding more stock in our warehouse to service UK clients without the headache of imports, as well as improving our own efficiency to provide our customers with a stellar service regardless of market obstacles.
Investing in people
As a proud Midlands manufacturer, there’s nothing more important to us than the people who make our business work. Our teams understand the science of bolts for structural engineering and that’s why we’ve become one of the most trusted bolt and fastener manufacturers in the UK, delivering consistently and effectively to key clients in everything from transport infrastructure to energy and defense.
Staying ahead of the curve means we’re able to stay competitive – and that’s only possible with the right people. We’re always looking for the right profiles to help elevate our service offering, ensuring best-in-class output both internally and externally. If you’re looking for a career in Midlands manufacturing and want to find out more about RCF’s purpose and mission, get in touch with our client services team today.
Diversifying our services
As industrial applications develop, so do we. Owning our own machining and tooling means we’re able to adapt our products for specific client needs – and when those needs change, we make sure we keep pace.
We’re constantly reviewing our position in the marketplace to understand what we can do better and what we need to invest in to make it happen. Whether it’s new computer systems, improved factory equipment or product procurement, we’re dedicated to advancing our offer for both ourselves and our valued clients.
